Meeting 11/13

"I wanted to thank everybody who participated in Rake Up Boise! I appreciate everyone's hard work! The property owner wanted me to thank everyone. She was touched by the Club's generosity and even teared up when speaking with me! Also, I wanted to give a big thanks to Martha for opening her home to all of us!
Cheers!
Heather Thompson"

I hope you all had a great time! If you took any pictures, please send any and all of them to CWIPsych@gmail.com so that I can get them posted on here. I'd like to do it as soon as possible, so the sooner I get your pictures, the better!

If you're looking for another volunteer opportinity (or if you're not, but should), Kim Bettencourt from One Stop is looking for Spring Enrollment Volunteers from January 4 to January 10. That entails answering questions to the newly enrolling students, taking picture IDs, making copies, etc. We would be working in two-hour timeblocks, and there are two training sessions. They're both on November 30 in room 107. The first one is from 1:30 to 2:30 pm, and the second one is from 5:30 to 6:30 pm. Hopefully one of those will work for you. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Kim Bettencourt at KimBettencourt@CWIdaho.cc by Monday, November 16 (THIS Monday). Be sure to include (1) your name, (2) phone number, (3) dates and times you can volunteer, and (4) what training session you will attend.

Last order of business: For Thanksgiving, we have decided to adopt a family. We are going to be providing them with a Thanksgiving dinner, as well as some clothing items to meet their needs.

Thank you to everyone who volunteered to donate some sort of food or clothing item. Don't forget to turn in your donation by Friday! Feel free to turn anything in throughout the week to Heather (in her office). If you don't know where to find her or her office, you can give it to one of the officers, and they will get it to her office for you. If you're coming to the Wii competition, we prefer that you turn it in by then, or there at the latest. If you are already signed up to bring something, admission to the competition is only $2 for you.

If you didn't sign up to bring any sort of food or clothing, you are still able to donate. Remember, admission to Immortal Glorii (the Wii tournament) is $3 or $2 with a unit of nonperishable food, so your best bet would be to bring food.

If you forgot what you signed up for, here is a list of what was decided at the meeting:

Junior girls' pants (size 5): Jose
Junior girls' pants (size 7): Katrina
Junior girls' tops (medium): Morgan and Jose
Mens' pants (size 38x32): Steve M.
Womens' jacket (5 ft., 150 lbs.): Heather

Remember, we want this stuff to be new, but if anyone else has any new OR used items that would fit this family, feel free to donate them!

Salad/dressing: Morgan and Steven
Bread: Morgan and Steven
Ice cream: Morgan and Steven
Sparkling cider: Morgan
Butter: Morgan
Turkey: Steven
Veggie tray: Steven
Whipped cream: Heather
Apple Pie: Heather
Cranberry sauce: Sondra
Gravy: Sondra
Instant potatoes: Eric
Rolls: Keith

Corn: Steve M.

If you're on either of these lists, you can expect an email as a reminder. If you're coming to Immortal Glorii, please try to bring something other than what is listed, but we will definitely take anything as long as it's nonperishable.

If you have any questions, you can comment on this post or you can email me at CWIPsych@gmail.com!
